After being shanghaied into helping her boss’s niece dump her boyfriend, Shane Madison is urged into starting up a business of her own: The Breakup Artist. You see, Shane has a knack for helping people end a relationship while making the other party think it was their idea. Less hurt pride and feelings...it’s easier for everyone involved, right? Not so fast. Suddenly things have gone awry, and little does Shane know, the first victim is out for revenge.

After realizing that The Breakup Artist was at fault for his recent breakup with Lizzie, Ben decides to play a game of his own. He lures Shane into a restaurant planning on dropping a few bombs on her regarding his thoughts on her business, but instead, decides to turn the tables and put Shane on the losing end of the deal. However, Ben finds that things aren't working the way he had planned. The lying, cheating Breakup Artist isn't what he had bargained for.

In yet another testament to never judge a book by its cover, Alesia Holliday has provided us with an entertaining, witty novel, a la How to Lose a Guy in 30 Days. I enjoyed reading the trials and tribulations that Shane experienced trying to keep her head above water with her clients as well as her friends and, of course, their relationships, let alone her own. This book has "summer, laying in the back yard, working on your tan, reading" written all over it. Just make sure that you set a timer so that you don't get drawn so far into the book that you forget to turn over.
