Ex-army ranger Jason "plowboy" Wilson has recently been discharged from the army and after a few failed attempts at entering civilian life, he finds himself at a loss and looks up No-man, a ranger buddy, to see if that job offer at his security firm is still good. His first assignment is to baby-sit a diva rock star.

Bad girl mega-rock star "Sweet Baby Jane" Perkins is in danger and her tough-talking hard as nails image can’t save her from whats coming for her. Her alcoholic mother is run-down in front of a bar, her long time friend Neal mysteriously disappears and someone thinks its fun to leave the hearts of birds bleeding in places for Janey to find. Everyone is a suspect and nowhere is safe.

The only place she can find comfort is in Jase's strong hands even though he thinks it’s a bad idea and goes against his principals he can’t resist the temptation she is.

While at first glance this looks like your standard; girl falls for her bodyguard fare; it is an intriguing novel with twists and turns to keep you guessing. There isn't a dull moment in the book. Each and every page leaves you thinking that you know what’s going on and then proves you don't. The characters are interesting and diverse each has their own demons. And the plot will keep you guessing right up to the end.

In short I think this a worthy read.
