Lady Julia Corwyn is looked upon by society as a fallen women and has made raising her son, running her school for lower class children, and writing The Rogue Report her life's work. Julia knows first hand the dangers that lurk for young girls in society who fall into the hands of men who lie, cheat and gamble, and it is her mission to print her publication to expose those rogues to the young women who are in their company.

Jack William Mansfield, the Earl of Rutledge, has become Julia's latest victim after his fiance dumped him after reading of his gambling party in the latest issue of The Rogue Report. To seek his revenge, he decides to apply for a job as a math teacher at Julia's school in order to find the evidence needed to expose her as the author of the publication.

After Julia entrusts Jack with the secrets of her past, he learns that Julia's reasons for exposing rogues are well justified and finds himself falling in love with the headmistress and her son. He must find a way to tell Julia his true identity and make her believe that he's not the scoundrel that she has painted him to be.

While the story lends nothing exceptional that makes it stand out from others of its kind, there are a few subtle twists to the plot to freshen it up a bit. The characters are well enough developed that you fully understand their inner battles and views. All in all, it is a mediocre read; not a page-turner, but not a book that only holds your attention for five minutes at a clip.
