The plot is innovative, unique, and just fun. I got a kick out of watching Mara and Alex's relationship evolve from wanting to get rid of each other to wanting to keep each other. While the typical inner struggles of many romance novels are present, it is a breath of fresh air to see the lead characters struggle against circumstances that are beyond anyone's control. The sex scenes are not only steamy and excellently written, but are integral to the plot.
The characters add another positive element to this book. The author did an excellent job of making Alex seem sexy as hell and even with his brusqueness, his character is extremely endearing. Also, the quirky supporting characters and their er...dilemmas lend a touch of humor to the book.
Grab a glass of wine, sit back, kick your feet up and enjoy the book.
