It’s a decent storyline, but nothing spectacular. Its one erotic moment takes place in an elevator…and what girl hasn’t dreamed about a mirrored elevator and a disturbingly handsome man to do whatever she wants?
Touch of Pink: On vacation in Hawaii, Lindsay sheds her good-girl image and catches the eye of a handsome venture capitalist…but when the diamonds wind up in his possession, she’ll join whatever sensual game he’s playing to get them back. Will she ever return to her prudent ways? Review: This story turns erotic when Lindsay makes a deal with Dominic Stark – one night of sexual slavery for the return of her earrings. The author gets off to a really intriguing start with a bondage scene and just when you’re dying for more, abruptly jumps to Lindsay at home…alone.
Pink Positive: All Nicole wants is to spice up her life. Then in walks irresistible Alex Rafferty with a secret that could shatter her illusion about diamonds – and romance – lasting forever. Review: Nicole’s story starts with a discussion with her co-worker/girlfriend on whether or not men notice jewelry. The only time any guy noticed Nicole’s jewelry was during an erotic, oral escapade and her earring got stuck in his pubic hair. During the telling, they literally run into the man of her dreams and her boss. This is, by far, the best story.
In The Pink: The irresistible gems become the ultimate prize for an audacious lady thief who’s seduced not only by the ice but also by the sexy PI on her trail. And he has the perfect plan for setting her straight… Review: Mercer – the woman who tried to steal the diamonds in the first story – is out of prison, and gets a job with a caterer in order to fix her only failure as a thief. Instead, she finds herself wondering if it would be more fun to have the guy instead of the diamonds. This unremarkable tale ends the book on a sour note, having no serious thought put into it. It was as if the author decided she had to have a fourth story, but didn’t care if it flowed.
If you’re just trying to kill time, this will do it. But if you’re looking for a gripping -- or even just entertaining -- book you need to look further.
