Saxon beauty Aleysia Cawdor is ripe and willing to do anything to protect her twin brother's birthright from a foreign conqueror. To save her family's honor, Aleysia will surrender hers and enter into a sensual bargain with her worst enemy, submitting to his brutish ways.

Norman knight Renaud de Wulf, battle-scarred and love-starved from a time too long at war, is eager to again feel the touch of a woman's flesh. He claims the rebel temptress as his prize and accepts her offer to fulfill his every desire in the most intimate way imaginable.

Never would de Wulf guess the true motives for Aleysia's submission - or where their heated nights would take them...

This book emulates what an erotic story should have: a well made plot with enough suspense to keep the reader interested in moving forward, and well-written err...sex scenes. The only glitch I found in the story line itself was Renaud's tendency to completely ignore his distrust in Aleysia after she betrayed him more than once. Each time he stated that he would never trust her again, but each time he forgot that, as his enemy, she had plotted against him. I understand that lust fogs a person's thinking, but with the intensity of the circumstances of this story, it all seemed a bit contrived.

Obviously the author had a thesaurus at her side and put it to good use while writing the sex scenes. Bravo! Too many novels tend to use the same terms for certain parts of the anatomy during the bedroom romps, which take away from the entire story, however the Author mixed it up in each scene she had written. The act itself was a little bit new and fresh each time also, adding a few tricks that aren't commonly seen in historical writings.

Overall, this book is recommended for those who enjoy steamy historical romances; Definitely worth taking the time out from doing laundry and vacuuming the carpets for a bit of indulgence.
