12162904.gifThe sassiest vampire in all of Manhattan, Lil Marchette, is the owner of Dead End Dating—a matchmaking service for hip, intelligent singles like herself. After only three months, business is booming and she can finally pay her bills (and, more important, feed a hungry cosmetics addiction). But when one of her clients turns up dead (as in never coming back), Lil is named as the prime suspect.

Murder?

Sure, she’s a vampire, but she can’t even work up her nerve to blood-sucking. Hacking somebody to pieces is so out of the question.

To make matters worse, Lil must also contend with a pack of werewolves who ask – no, demand—that she find each on a tall, dark, and handsome mate before the next full moon. Plus, the to-die-for-if-I-wasn’t-already-dead Ty Bonner, a lusciously very sexy lover but totally unsuitable eternity mate, is never far from her midnight fantasies. But Lil has no time for such thoughts. She must prove her innocence and focus on pairing off the dead and the furry—and maybe stake a claim to her own tasty true love.

From the beginning of the book I was really appalled by the fact that this character only cared about her wardrobe and what name brands she wore and also had a tendency to point out what other people were wearing as well.

The book involved a 500 and some year old vampire. In my opinion, a vampire that age should really careless about what they are wearing since they have lived in so many different centuries. She also had a thing about her appearance and would specifically name what type of lip gloss and make-up she was wearing. This really got me started off wrong with this book.

I also didn’t like that fact that for a person (vamp) wanted for murder, she didn’t care about being caught, but was out in the open worrying about work and getting to her parents’ weekly hunt. Ummm…you’re wanted for murder, shouldn’t you stay out of site? Oh, and the fact that she could transform into a pink, yes pink, bat really made me laugh. Come on!

As for the end, Lil finally had sex with the Bounty Hunter and it was no surprise that afterwards the real murderer showed up. She tried to kill them both by adding garlic to their blood. Come on, it could have been a much better ending than that. They spent all this time trying to figure out who done it and in the end the real murder came to them. Nothing is that easy. And to set her up to confess; they taped the half-assed confession. To me the ending could have had a much more exciting ending instead of being dragged out the way it was.

Oh and lets not forget the werewolves: in the end they all mated, ended up prego and all went into labor at the same time at eight and a half months pregnant.
