0515142670.01._AA240_SCLZZZZZZZ_.jpgAfter healthy young Debra Miller dies giving birth, guilt-ridden Dr. David Monroe's secret investigation yields the discovery of a truth too horrifying to believe: a bloodthirsty satanic cult is preparing the way for the Anti-Christ.

Our deepest, darkest dreams of hell on earth are about to become reality. With the help of a disillusioned priest, Monroe has to confront the battle between good and evil that lurks in the human mind. To find those who are committed to do anything, no matter how ruthless, to fulfill their fanatic religious beliefs...before his blood is sacrificed next.

The doctor is the central character of the book, and the most believable as the one leading the charge against the cult. Originally, his motivation was to avenge the death of his patient but as his investigation goes further, his battle turns from vengeance into a war of good vs. evil. He seeks help from a priest, Father Francis, who is actually an exorcist. As for the leader, it’s an enigma until the very end, as is the cult’s true motivations.

Captivating, thrilling and shocking, Purgatory’s Gate makes for a great read…and a good reason to be afraid of the dark.
