Her friend runs in fear, her constantly drunken almost-ex-boyfriend gets dragged away by this also drunken-friends as they call her a freak, and even her own mother and step-father decide she did something wrong or unholy and call the start of a prayer tree, along with their psychiatrist.

Running to the only person left she knew she could still trust, she packed what little things she had and drove off to her grandma-Redbird's home. Only, when she gets there she soon discovers that even in undeath she may not be normal...

All I have to say is the book itself matched the cover: beautiful.

The authors did a wonderful job. The characters were more than lovable and those that weren't are perfect villain material. Not to mention, I could tell they most definitely did their pagan research, from herb representations, names, spells, right down to the pentacle points. Bravo!

The only thing I have to say about it is the spelling of 'vampyre'. Though it's just my opinion, I never did like that spelling. But hey! They magnificence of the rest of the book more than covers for that!

I'd more than recommend this to anyone looking for a world to slip away to, and to follow the life (or would that be death?) of Zoey Redbird.
