I'm usually not a big fan of erotica. Don't get me wrong, I love reading steamy sex scenes as well as any other red-blooded woman, but from a literary standpoint, I have found that they usually lack substantially in the literary department. One of the biggest deficits in this area is lack of plot for the sake of more sex. In this book, Jaci Burton has surpassed the norm to provide us with the best erotica I've read to date.
One of the hardest aspects to bring forth in erotica is maintaining the balance between sex and plot. The ultimate goal is to create a plot that plays itself out inside the bedroom, as well as outside. In this, the author did not disappoint. The action taking place in public vs. behind closed doors only worked to complement each other and the art of pulling that plot into the bedroom allows the reader to enjoy plenty of carnal action while keeping you hooked on watching the plot unfold.
Additionally, there is something for everyone in this book. The first story is centered around Abby's weekend-long threesome. The second delves into the world of submission and domination and the third brings us voyeurism and exhibitionism. Excellent detail, realistic dialogue, and variety are only a few of the elements that bring everything together in this novel.
No matter what your sexual preference, you're bound to find yourself in the clutches of these stories as they play out womens' fantasies before your very eyes.
