Eileen Wilks is back and raising the bar again in the fourth book in her World of the Lupi series. Night Season picks up within several weeks of Blood Lines and it doesn't miss a beat in timing or storyline.

Cynna knew the danger of bedding down with Cullen before she did it. Lupi have a low fertility rate so if you're destined to get knocked-up all the birth-control in the world won't help. Unfortunately for Cynna her only experience with family was a father who took off when she was a small child and a drunken mother who stumbled in front of a moving taxi when Cynna was a teenager. Not really the best foundation for a future and now a strange delegation has just wandered into Washington D.C. from another realm with requests for trade and news that strikes right to Cynna's heart; they know where her father is and he wants to see her. With Cullen by her side, Cynna will have to use her Finders gift to solve a mystery in a night-locked realm and bring her kidnapped group back before her baby is born.

As with the previous book, I was completely drawn in. The realm of Edge, rich in magic, where humans are the lowest of all the races, was an interesting puzzle as the Gifted among the visitors began to expand and learn more. We were also presented with some new faces... I won't say who, or what, but they did keep me guessing for a bit as to their true nature and I always enjoy a challenge, especially in such a glutted market. High marks once again for Ms. Wilks.
