25467351.JPGIt was the revelation of the millennium: Witches, werewolves, vampires, and other supernaturals are real.

Fast-forward thirteen years: TV reporter Delilah Street used to cover the small-town bogeyman beat back in Kansas, but now, in high-octane Los Angeles – which is run by a werewolf mob – she finds herself holding back the very gates of Hell as she investigates a modern-day Romeo and Juliette murder … two ‘teenage’ loves, one vampire, one werewolf, in a forbidden union.

At least she has a hot new guy and one big bad wolfhound to help her out, not to mention an admirer of an unknown type – Snow may be a vampire, or not, but Delilah knows he’s not human … and let’s not forget her adoring fans – the ones that all want her dead, so they can see her dissected on crime TV. Again.

She’s got attitude in spades, I’ll give her that, and with a seeming death wish when it comes to putting herself in certain situations -- like playing dress-up nurse in a nest of vampires. Dowsing for dead bodies is inventive, definitely a new twist on things, as is a horizontal phobia. The ever-changing, wearable locket of hair, though...I'm still not sure as to motive or use; whether it serves itself, Snow, or Delilah, or some fourth party.

I am absolutely loving the new puppy, and curious as hell when it comes to finding out more about him – that collar has got to mean something.
