These Boots Were Made for Stomping: Kenner; Lee; MancusiSometimes It's All About The Shoes Whether facing the forces of evil or simply battling a bad hair day, fantastic footwear is key.

Yes, there are the right shoes for the right situations, and not every moment calls for Manolos. Sometimes a woman's gotta be fierce as well as feminine, fiery as well as fragile. and when the legwork required is a roundhouse, when a girl's mantra has to become "I am woman, her me roar," those are the times it's good to know there's magic in the world...because in super powered pumps, the shrinking-est Violet of the nervous-est Nellie can do anything. Every step in magic shoes is sure to be a big one.

After a single trip to Hiheelia.com, our heroines are safe. Their hearts are not.

This is book one of two, God I hope it is only two, collections that are about women finding magical shoes off a website that happens to give them super powers. Hiheelia.com is a real life website where books meet badly advertised and high priced shoes. I am guessing that this is an advertising campaign gone horribly wrong for not only can I find cheaper and better quality shoes on eBay, but I can actually list shoes by size and color. That is neither here or now, back to the books...check out the website and review it yourself if you dare step into the heels of the great and powerful Wizard of...well the shoe goddess Shoestra.

A Step in the Right Direction: Julie Kenner

In a world where magic does exist but is hidden by the media's paid explanations of pure nonsense, a woman finds her own true-to-life superman plush doll complete with abs of steel and an invisibility cloak. With bad guy Ruthless, which I might add is a BRILLANT bad guy name, on their tails we find out that yup she's a mortal plain and simple except for the killer heels of doom attached to her feet courtesy of Hiheelia.com.

She buys the shoes off of the website because her friend finally got pregnant after years of trying and apparently the shoes made 'all her dreams come true'. From shoes to kicking butt to saving the world, this jaw-dropping hilarious and completely ridiculous tale lets the girl get the comic book hero after, of course, some fluid-bonding in bed.

Kung Fu Shoes!: Jade Lee

A rich chick finds herself a teacher in a low class neighborhood where teenage gangs and drugs rule. With a pair of sensible shoes from Hiheelia.com and the brute strength of a high school security guard/ex-cop that she will get buddy-buddy with in the bedroom, she shall learn to kick butt and take names to write on the chalk board.

Whether it is flying through the trees like in the good classic Kung Fu movies or fighting the man of her dreams with one shoe behind her back, we can only hope that a good pair of shoes gives the girl enough confidence to overcome her small tits and her threatening students.

Karma Kitty Goes to Comic Con: Marianne Mancusi

A comic book writer and her drag queen illustrator make their way to a comic con dressed in their character's clothing, Karma Kitty and Big Pimp Kitty, find out that she really is becoming Karma Kitty. The moment she puts those too-tall-for-walking-in pairs of heels on the headband becomes real kitty ears and her tail seems permanently attached. From one excuse at the altar to another by fighting real ninjas at the con, can she ignite the flame that was between her ex-finance or will it only end up sputtering into a one night stand?

But wait, the story of course gets better, for there is a real villain about who is killing off or hypnotizing people to make money in movies. With drawn-in super smell powers and the failure of not being able to shoot money from her hands, that is not a "real" cat power anyways, she will attempt to save the day but only if she gets an upgrade.

.............

I swear that I have lost many brain cells in reading this and the following book and I would almost consider these books of the teen variety if there was not so much heavy sex. Written in text like a valley-girl on heaps of crack mixed with the screaming of the authors who desperately want to write something good only to realize that they have to put in something about magical shoes to be able to advertise this website, it only makes my retinas bleed in sympathy.
