Rating: 4 1/2 stars (Spotlight Review)

A radio talk show host finds out that her byline of ‘I will slay your demons’ is actually believed by not only her listener audience but also the demons themselves. So what does a ‘normal’ psychic woman do when the going gets weird? She falls in lust with the demon lawyer that has been stalking her from the shadows and of course, gets a triple stack of demon guard-dog goodness. On top of the bashing from the competitor shows and those jealous people who didn’t get the job, poor Megan gets to deal with the ‘Accuser’, zombies, witches and a posse of other things that go bump in the night.

The seduction of Megan is an obvious thing because well, that’s what demons do and I find it refreshing that even though she knows that he is a demon she still puts herself into a position of being mislead into the unknown. What mortal would be able to hold herself back from wanting to bang a thousand year old demon because obviously he’s got to be good at his job? He is a demon after all.

With a romp in the sheets and a bit of body possession, Megan gets to take her psychic powers to the edge to battle the thing she let out when she toyed with a Ouija board when she was a teen; I always knew Ouija boards were not something to fool with and high five for rebellious teenagers who just want to ‘belong’ when they figure out that they aren’t ‘normal’ like everyone else.

I find the sex classy and necessary. Now come on, we all knew it was going to have a sex scene in it with the whole he’s a demon and he does the ‘genie three wish thing’ except with more of the what’s in it for him bit while he lets you pretend that you are in control.

The wittiness of our heroine and the brass balls that she grew throughout the title are awesome, and the sheer enjoyment from the posse of guard dogs who not only protect her well-being, but can style hair AND put on a girl’s make up, refreshingly unique.

I also refused to read the beginning of the new book because I’m already addicted and reading that would just spoil my appetite so I will wait with the rest of the world for the next title in the series.
