The last P.I. on Earth is back and this time he's been instructed to bring in a super-powerful hybrid who doesn't want to be found. Natasha only wants peace but she wasn't constructed that way. It's sixty-years into the future and and though the world has greatly changed, Zach Johnson is a throwback to the days of Bogey and Bacall. Though he is upgraded with an implanted computer named HARV and a weapon up his sleeve named GUS Zach still wears a fedora and drives a real car.

When Natasha appears to him to warn him in advance not to take the job that is coming, Zach knows there will be trouble. Beautiful, half-clad women are always trouble in Zach's life and this one will be no exception. Zach will be hired by the World Council to find her but when he learns what she's capable of and why they want her, he finds himself torn. Should he deliver her to the World Council, knowing that her mental abilities could destroy the world or does he take a stand and save the life that she's trying to live?

This is the sixth book in the Zach Johnson series and once again Zakour hits a homerun. With HARV's biting wit, Zach's old-fashioned ideals, and dangerous babes abounding this is a must-read for fans of noir, sci-fi, and anything in-between.
