In her new book, High On Arrival, Mackenzie Phillips admits to a decade-long sexual relationship with her father. Let’s even forget the whole thing about her father teaching her to roll a joint or shooting her up with cocaine; compared to the bomb she just dropped, that stuff almost seems parentally sound.

Mackenzie notes that the big event kicked off after an introductory "rape" – depending on who you ask —but apparently given some time to mull things over, Mackenzie thought "Hmmm, getting a little strange from Dad isn’t so bad." Thus began ten glorious years of incest-fueled grinding. Please don’t be alarmed; it was, after all, consensual. However, Mackenzie confided to Oprah that her siblings "definitely had a problem with this." I’m sure they were just jealous.

The good news is Mackenzie may have succeeded where Nancy Reagan failed. If after partnering up for a heroin bender, she woke up with her father on top of her, she might have given rehabbers a whole new reason to stay clean.

Then again, if Nancy Reagan used this image back in the 80s her anti-drug campaign would have been way more effective. "Just say no" doesn’t motivate anybody to put the bong down like "Hey kids, don’t do drugs or you’ll end up fucking your dad."
