In the vein of Scary Santa, Awkward Family Photos will not only have you laughing until you cry, but no doubt seeing your own family in the reflection of the strange and sometimes disturbing images.

AFP is broken down into different categories: Birthday, Relatives, Wedding, Holidays and other life milestones, peppered with a few funny anecdotes and stories from the past that will make you realize no matter how mortifying your family may have been, somebody out there had it even worse.

Although some of the photos could have used funnier quips, the photos of the Easter bunnies more than made up for it. I’m almost afraid to meet the creators of these mall-bunny suits for fear they might resemble their creation; one rabbit looked like a psychotic killer and the other like a permanent acid trip. Even more disturbing was the parents' willingness to sit their precious children upon the freakish laps of these characters.

So now, when I look back on my childhood with my 70’s clothing, stacked platform sandals and pin straight hair parted down the middle—I realize that I was a product of the time, which may also be true for the family photo of Mom, Son and two Dads... And, despite some finger-pointing and good natured teasing, my apperance is much easier to explain than the pasty, skinny guy who took his official engagement photo shirtless
