People Who Deserve It: Socially Responsible Reasons to Punch Someone in the Face: Casey Rand and Tim Gordon

Rating: 2 1/2 stars

People Who Deserve It: Socially Responsible Reasons...: Casey Rand and Tim Gordon Rand and Gordon are ad writers in NYC who have decided to profile 100 of the most annoying character types. As I’m sure other states employ similarly obnoxious people, so you don’t have to be a New Yorker to relate.

Although most of the major annoyances are covered here—“Ode To Brian Austen Green” was one of my favorites—there are a few more that could have been included: The public-place gum cracker; the grunter and weight slammer at the gym; the snow-pocalypse paranoids who take all the milk and bread at the first sign of a snow flake; the airplane over-head bin hog—and the list goes on.

A witty and fun book People Who Deserve It reads like a Bud Light Real Men of Genius commercial. So this one’s for you full-volume-iPod-listener…no-etiquette-umbrella-user…slow-walking-sidewalk blocker…impatient-subway-boarder…you know who you are.

Oh, and public-transportation-loud-cell-phone-talker—we hate you the most.
